Best of British: My Easter Egg Wishlist

Let's face it, this post was basically my excuse for doing a whole load of online easter egg "window shopping" (what's the web version of that, browser shopping?)

I came across many of the independent producers here as a judge at the British competition in the International Chocolate Awards and therefore can wholeheartedly vouch for the quality of their products.

It was a pleasure to meet so many committed and talented chocolatiers - all of whom contribute to the ever raising bar in the British Chocolate industry.

I have also included larger brands whom I admire for their ethical values - I am a regular customer of both Bettys and Hotel Chocolat, both of whom display strong statements on their ethical and environmental aims.

I would also like to add York Cocoa House to this list - whilst they currently do not have their Easter selection for sale online, they do have a fabulous selection available in store.

Sophie, who founded the business, is one of the most passionate chocolate advocates I have ever met (she was actually a huge inspiration when I started my first business!).
