I have been writing about all things food on this blog now for almost two years, however recently I have noticed that it has been harder and harder to write posts that I am proud of and produce content which I feel adds value to my readers.
Back in the day, writing about my culinary experiments and explorations provided the perfect escape from my university studies. Blogging about food also gave me the opportunity to meet many other fantastic and passionate bloggers/foodies and even inspired me to set up my coffee business.
Though I have much to thank Audacity of Food for, in recent months it has become clearer that my interests have shifted along with the direction of my life.
Though food, especially coffee, remains a strong interest of mine, starting and growing two businesses has shifted my area of expertise and opened up new possibilities and directions in my writing.
The more I pursue my various goals, the more I am convinced that I want to grow businesses which are responsible and sustainable. Businesses that consider others and help to create a fairer and more equal society.
There is a real misconception that companies have to be ruthless to survive, this simply is not true. You can put people and the environment before profits and still run a successful business. In fact by doing this, you are more likely to be successful, as you are building on sustainable foundations which will have longevity.
I want to help inspire others to consider and address the ethical issues in their business - whether they are micro-entrepreneurs, freelance creatives or CEO's of large organisations.
I want to create a space where we can share ideas, interact with each other on issues which matter and create solutions.
I also want to empower consumers to feel comfortable in asking companies to act in a trustworthy and transparent manner - so that they can make purchasing decisions based upon their values and beliefs.
Whether you are running a small start up, growing business, or are simply looking for inspiration on how to live and consume in a mindful and sustainable way, this blog is for you.
I'm already full to the brim with articles and thoughts I want to share with you all, but if there is anything you would like to see on here, please get in touch!
I understand many people follow this blog because of my recipes and reviews. Do not fear! There will continue be the occasional food/lifestyle piece on bethanvincent.com. In fact one of my hopes is that there will be a more personal feel to this site.
All of my old archives will also remain in place on this blog, meaning that you can still easily find all of my old content from Audacity of Food.

I would like to close the book on Audacity of Food by thanking every reader and supporter of the blog. It has been an absolute pleasure writing for you all and speaking to many of you.
